Holiday Sweet Delights Contest Winner,  Kya, who  can’t make it through Christmas without these scrumptious, easy treats!

Below I have listed two versions…the traditional one I inherited from my grandma, the second one is my adaptation.

Traditional Ting-a-lings

6 cups Wheaties cereal
2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Melt the cholocate chips either in a double boiler, or in the microwave. If you melt the chips in the microwave, make sure you stir every 30 seconds. Once melted, stir in the Wheaties until coated.

Drop table spoon size pieces onto wax paper covered trays. Refrigerate to cool (or stick ‘em outside if its around the holidays and chilly! :) ). Enjoy!!

Modern Ting-a-lings

5 cups Total cereal
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup craisins
3/4 chopped walnuts (or whatever your favorite is)

Melt the cholocate chips either in a double boiler, or in the microwave. If you melt the chips in the microwave, make sure you stir every 30 seconds. Once melted, stir in the Total, Craisins and nuts until coated.

Drop table spoon size pieces onto wax paper covered trays. Refrigerate to cool (or stick ‘em outside if its around the holidays and chilly! :) ). Enjoy!!

Happy Holidays,

Kya
